Sheldon Roussy
Sheldon Roussy is a Business Lawyer and leads our corporate and commercial law group. Sheldon’s main areas of practice are Franchise Law, Private M&A, and Tax Reorganizations.
Sheldon assists a broad range of business clients, from the start-up enterprise to the established franchisor corporation. Sheldon has a particular interest in Franchise Law and assists both franchisees and franchisors alike, but works with all types of business organizations, including Not-for-Profits, Charities, health professionals, and small family businesses. Aside from Franchise Law, Sheldon’s practice includes mergers, acquisitions and sales, tax reorganizations, real estate developments, and general corporate matters.
If Sheldon’s clients find themselves faced with a complex issue or dispute relating to their business, he advocates with a results-oriented focus and aims to find the most cost efficient and practical solution. While Sheldon prefers to keep his client’s out of disputes, he has a background in litigation and is no stranger to the court process.
Sheldon studied law at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC. While studying, he assisted with the law school’s club hockey team, and served as the Director of Health and Wellness for the Society of Law Students. With roots in both Atlantic Canada and Northern Ontario, if not at his desk Sheldon will likely be somewhere outdoors.
