Rachel Montgomery was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2026 and practices family law with a focus on litigation. Rachel advocates for her clients with diligence and professionalism while providing clear, compassionate and practical guidance through some of life’s most challenging transitions.

Rachel holds a Law Clerk Diploma from Algonquin College, a Bachelor of Arts
(Honors) in Women’s and Gender Studies with a minor in Law from Carleton
University, and an LL.B. from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. During law school, she competed in mooting and negotiation competitions and ran a Pro Bono legal clinic that assisted nurses and midwives involved in fitness-to-practice proceedings.
Prior to joining McGuinty Law Offices, Rachel articled with a boutique family law firm in Ottawa, where she gained extensive experience in a broad range of family law matters.
Her experience includes high-conflict parenting disputes, complex support and property issues, as well as the negotiation and mediation of family law agreements and settlements.
Outside of the office, Rachel enjoys attending live concerts and comedy shows,
exploring new hobbies, spending time with family and friends, and travelling.
